Ping San Tzeng
Dr. Ping San Tzeng

Dr. Tzeng brings over 18 years of EDA experience with him to Atoptech. Dr. Tzeng was one of the original developers of ArcCellXO, developed at ArcSys in 1992. He was the key architect in the evolution of ArcCell to the industry known place and route systems Aquarius, Apollo and Astro. Dr. Tzeng continued to work and enhance his routing technology at ArcSys, Avant! and Synopsys (ArcSys formed Avant!, Avant! was aquired by Synsopsy in 2002). He holds the prestigious honor of Avant! Fellow and Synopsys Fellow. Prior to ArcSys, he held positions at Cadence Design and Quickturn Design Systems. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University and a Ph.D. computer science from U.C., Berkeley.
Kaiwin Lee

Prior to co-founding ATopTech with Dr. Tsou, Dr. Lee held various senior technical management positions at Arcsys, Avant!, Synopsys and Tera Systems between 1992 - 2002 and Intel between 1989 - 1992. While at Arcsys, Dr. Lee was one of the original designers/architect who built and designed the core algorithms for ArcCell, the leading place and route solution of its time. Dr. Lee has been awarded a U.S. Patent for inventing the industry-first automatic data preparation/extraction algorithm for place and route and shrank the data preparation time from weeks to minutes. While at Avant! (acquired by Synopsys 2002), Dr. Lee led a team to develop the market leading physical design planner, Planet/Jupiter. After Avant!, Dr. Lee joined Tera Systems in 1997, as Sr. Software Engineer and then later VP of engineering, he lead a team to develop the first RTL design planner (TeraForm). He holds a B.S. in physics from National Taiwan University, a M.S. in Applied Physics from Yale University and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Yale University.
Eric Thune
vice president sales and marketing
Mr. Thune joined ATopTech in 2006, bringing over 20 years of sales and design engineering experience to ATopTech. Prior to ATopTech he was Director, Western Area Sales for Apache Design Solutions where he was responsible for west coast sales and managing the application engineering support team. Before joining Apache, he held various sales positions for I2Technologies, Synchronicity, Simplex, Synopsys and Texas Instruments. Mr. Thune entered into sales after several years in engineering at Texas Instruments, Metaflow Technologies and Optigraphics Corp. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with High Distinction from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Eddie Araki
president, ATopTech KK
Mr. Araki joined Atoptech in 2006, bringing 30 years of experience in working with Japanese distributors and US-based software vendors. Mr. Araki has held various managerial and sales positions throughout his career, with an emphasis in Asia, specifically Japan. Prior to joining AtopTech, he held positions as Nihon Synopsys, as a Japan Area Sales Director; Magma Design Automation Co., Ltd. ; Maingate Electronics; Design Solution Co,; INNOTECH Corporation as well as, Seiko Instruments, and Marubeni Electronics Co. He holds B.S. in Physics from Kwansei Gakuin University, Nishinomiya Hyogo Pref, Japan.
